Who We Are

StoryWeaver (“the App”) is operated by CrashOverride LLC, a Nevada limited liability company. You can reach us at info@crashoverride.com.

Data We Collect

The App collects and stores the following data in connection with your account:

• Apple Sign In credentials — your Apple account identifier, the display name you provide (typically your first name), and the email address you choose to share (which may be Apple’s private relay email if you select “Hide My Email”).
• Age category — determined via Apple’s Declared Age Range API (e.g., “child,” “youngTeen,” “olderTeen,” “adult,” or “unknown”). We do not collect your birthday.
• Stories and chapters — titles, descriptions, genres, and AI-generated chapter content you create within the App.
• Characters — names, traits, profiles, and AI-generated images for characters you create.
• Chat conversations — messages exchanged with AI characters within the App.
• Gamification data — XP, level, streak history, achievements, badges, daily quests, and challenge progress.
• Subscription status — your current billing tier (managed through Apple’s App Store).

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Birthday or exact age — we only receive an age category from Apple, never a date of birth.
• Location data — the App does not access your location.
• Analytics or tracking data — the App does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
• Device identifiers — we do not collect IDFA, IDFV, or any device fingerprints.
• Advertising identifiers — the App contains no advertising.
• Parent or guardian information — parental controls are managed entirely by Apple through Family Sharing.

Third-Party Services — AI Providers

StoryWeaver uses Google Gemini AI to generate story content, character profiles, and chat responses. When you use these features, the text you enter (story titles, descriptions, directions, and chat messages) is sent to Google’s servers for processing.

StoryWeaver uses fal.ai (FLUX.1 Schnell) to generate character and cover images. When you generate an image, the text prompt describing the image is sent to fal.ai’s servers for processing.

• No personally identifiable information is included in AI requests to either provider.
• Neither Google nor fal.ai uses this data to train their AI models.
• AI-generated content is returned to the App and stored in your account as described above.

Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

StoryWeaver is designed for ages 10 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information beyond what is described in this policy.

StoryWeaver relies on Apple’s Family Sharing and Declared Age Range API for age verification and parental consent. We do not independently collect age information or parental consent from children or parents.

Parental Rights

Parental controls are managed by Apple through Family Sharing. Parents and guardians can review, restrict, or revoke access to the App at any time through Apple’s parental controls and Screen Time settings.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, and Cloud Storage). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by Google.

Data Retention

Your data exists for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your account is disabled immediately and your data enters a 14-day grace period during which it is inaccessible but recoverable. After 14 days, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

How to Delete Your Data

Open the App, go to Settings, and tap “Delete Account & Data.” Your account will be disabled immediately and you will be signed out. All your data will be permanently purged within 14 days of your request.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third parties, except for text sent to Google Gemini AI and image prompts sent to fal.ai as described above. There are no ads, no tracking, and no analytics in the App.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
